Dr. Guillory’s dental career spans over two full decades so far, and he really enjoys being able to change patients’ lives daily through creating and restoring smiles. In his younger days, Dr. Guillory was always fascinated by the dentist’s office. In fact, he’d often secretly touch all of the different clinical instruments when the doctor and assistant left the operatory for a minute. He also knew that he wanted to help people directly as part of his career, and it wasn’t too long before he realized that oral healthcare was the perfect fit. He decided to become a dentist in his own right in the 6th grade, and he’s never looked back. Today, he feels very grateful to be able to see problems and correct them with his own hands and the mind God provided him with!
After attending Dillard University in New Orleans, Dr. Guillory pursued his dental doctorate at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. He spent some time serving active duty in the United States Navy Dental Corp and has also pursued state-of-the-art training at world-renowned organizations like the Carl Misch Implant Institute and the Las Vegas Institute. Today, he is well-equipped to capably handle even complex cases involving dentures and dental implants. He is a member of the following professional organizations:
Dr. Guillory is proud to have served his country as a member of the United States Navy. For his first duty, he was stationed with the Marines at Camp Pendleton, California (Greenside). There, he took care of the dental needs of countless Marines in the 3/1 Batallion at Camp Horno. For his second duty, he was stationed at Great Lakes, Illinois and made responsible for all new Naval recruits. Today, he still has a big place in his heart for other veterans and often focuses on them in his efforts to give back to the local community.
Dr. Guillory has two sons and is also a recent newlywed! Whenever he has free time away from work, he enjoys fishing, photography, gardening, and getting lost in a good book. He’s also a big car enthusiast. Dr. Guillory has stayed an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. and of participates in several of their sponsored charity events!
